Carmel Road Neigborhood Park,
2020 TOUR de TURNS
Due to COVID-19, our 9th Annual Tour de Turns event will be a little different this year but still very fun and most of all continues helping turn the corner on local hunger by benefiting Loaves & Fishes! We will have the bike and walking routes marked with our traditional "Route Arrows". Participants can ride or walk the routes anytime Saturday "On Their Own". We will have rest stops open until 2:00PM along the routes but nothing at the start/finish. Just to be clear, there will NOT be an organized start this year. Also, there will NOT be any police traffic control, cones, or barriers on the routes.
In place of our "Under the Shade Trees Festival" that had live music, a beer garden and lunch in the Park, we will have the following:
The Natty Boh Duo band playing at The Lodge: A Sportsman's Grill on their patio from 11:00AM to 2:00PM.
Also, we will have an "After the Ride Party" at The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery with live music by String Theory from 6:00 to 9:00PM!
We will have merchandise for sale at both locations.
Everyone that registers this year will receive a District tri-blend t-shirt with a quote on the back that says, "I helped turn the corner on LOCAL HUNGER during a global pandemic" and one coupon for a free beer at The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery that can be used anytime.
Also, new for 2020 is a NEW 37-MILE ROUTE! For those that have previewed it, they say it is better than any previous 37-mile routes.
15, 25, 37 & 62 Mile Road Routes
3.0 & 6.0 Mile Routes
To raise money for
Loaves & Fishes, Inc., a 501(c)3
