Carmel Road Neigborhood Park,
2020 TOUR de TURNS
IS GOING TO HAPPEN
ONE WAY OR ANOTHER!!!
OPTION 1: Assuming Covid-19 improves and the State/County/City allows large outdoor gatherings, we will have our bike routes and walking routes by having a "Staggered and Socially Distanced Start". The start will take place over 20 minutes with faster riders and walkers leaving earlier and slower ones leaving later. Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer the Kids' Bike Rodeo or the "Under the Shade Trees Festival" that included live music, a beer garden and lunch.
OPTION 2: If Covid-19 does not improve and the State/County/City does not allow large outdoor gatherings, then we will have the bike and walking routes marked with our traditional "Route Arrows". Riders and walkers can ride or walk the routes anytime either Saturday or Sunday on their own . Just to be clear, there will be NO organized start. Also, under this option there will NOT be any police, cones or barriers on the courses.
We are unveiling a NEW 37-MILE ROUTE for 2020! For those that have previewed it, they say it is better than any previous 37-mile route we offered
15, 25, 37, 52 & 62 Mile Road Routes
3.0 & 6.0 Mile Routes
To raise money for
Loaves & Fishes, Inc., a 501(c)3
To promote neighborhood cycling routes that are safer and more peaceful than cycling on busy thoroughfare streets
to encourage cyclist to make themselves as visible as possible through proper lighting and visible clothing
Tour de Turns is an original and unique charity bicycle ride (and now walk too) benefiting Loaves & Fishes, Inc., a 501(c)3 food pantry, that served over 77,000 people in 2018. 46% were children!!! Tour de Turns has netted nearly One Quarter of a Million dollars to help turn the corner on local hunger! The 2019 event netted approximately $58,000!!!
